About Susan

Susan Le Roux


Described by her colleagues either as ‘effervescent’ or ‘bubbly’, Susan is truly representative of the champagne tours she organises under the sobriquet ‘Champagne Goddess’.

Susan has been in the events industry for over 15 years and has built a solid reputation for creating strong and relevant connections within her personal and professional networks. Susan is passionate about bringing win-win solutions to women who have similar goals in mind.

Starting out in the Events industry in Melbourne sharing conferencing at Cable Beach Club Resort, Broome, she has experience in Restaurants and Catering with Trippas White Group, before moving to Orbit World Travel to develop brilliant travel incentives… Now, in addition to her Champagne Goddess tours and events, she is currently the Group Director of Sales – MICE for Stamford Hotels & Resorts.

It is Susan’s ability to fuse outcomes with destinations and experiences that makes her a standout in the events industry. Susan is proud to have partnered with Shelley to create Influential Women in Events & Marketing – the world’s most connected platform for women of influence.

About Shelley

Shelley Ryan


Despite having a reputation for a kind heart and a cheeky laugh, there is no doubt that professionalism and drive are the key to Shelley’s success in the industry.

18 years’ experience in the business events, hospitality and tourism industry sectors, and a Master of Management underpin Shelley’s business acumen and strategic planning skills.

Career highlights include working for two global event agencies and the experiences these roles provided, her current position managing the reward and recognition program at Fuji Xerox Australia and co-founding Influential Women in Events & Marketing. Shelley has demonstrated success in delivering incentive trips, conferences, special events, gala dinners, fundraisers, family days and much more.

Some of her events have taken on an almost mythical quality in the re-telling due to their winning combination of individuality and outcomes. These include (but are not limited to) an incentive trip in Monaco and Portofino for 100 couples, a 21-day corporate event during the Sydney Olympics, and a fundraising dinner for the St Patrick’s Day Parade with talented Irish Bachelors’ performing for the honour of Bachelor of the Year!

Shelley is passionate about knowledge sharing, mentoring and empowering others which is why she is so proud of Influential Women in Events & Marketing and the fantastic opportunities she and Susan are providing for other women via the founding of this world first network.
